ABOUT

HELLO! My name is Cat Warrian and I would like to welcome you to my online world. Here, you can find snippets of my past performances and production work, as well as have a glimpse into my life as a professional actor.

A bit about myself: I began exploring the arts at a young age —singing and performing in local theatre productions. During my teen years, I attended a performing arts high school where I specialized in vocal production and musical theatre performance. While getting my Bachelor of Arts in media and technology at Western University, I acted in a number of productions with our university’s classical theatre society and directed our school’s fall fashion show. Following graduation, I began my short (but successful!) career in fashion marketing. While I enjoyed learning about the industry, I missed the stage and realized that I needed to pursue my passion.

I was accepted into a full-time performance program at the House of Actors in Montréal. For four months, I took various classes such as scene study, improv, vocal production, and movement. I focused on building strong relationships with my peers and teachers — one such teacher took a particular interest in my potential and recommended I move my career to New York.

A few months later, I packed up and moved to New York City, where I attended T. Schreiber Studio’s One Year Acting Conservatory. For the past year, I have explored my craft by studying Shakespeare, vocal production, acting for the camera, and various acting techniques (Uta Hagen, Meisner and Strasberg). My favorite memories come from my scene study classes where I workshopped a number of theatre performances such as Out of Gas on Lovers Leap, Proof, Savage in Limbo and Angels of America (my personal favorite). We concluded the year with a week-long production of Rimers of Eldritch. By the final curtain call, I knew I had found my calling.

I am truly passionate about the art of acting and storytelling. I believe the stage is an arena for exploring the human experience, and allows for both the audience and the performers to better understand themselves.

I am currently living in New York City working on both the stage and in front of the camera. Besides performing, I enjoy exploring the city with my friends, collaborating with fellow artists and collecting as many vintage denim pieces as my closet can hold.
